Choosing a Profile When Commenting

We've heard from a few of you that there is some confusion surrounding the commenting process, especially around choosing a profile.

We've made a little tutorial explaining the process. Click below to read more.

When commenting on a post, you may notice a drop-down menu that looks like this:

Blogger, the blogging software we use, requires you to select a profile in order to comment. Clicking that drop-down menu gives you the following options to use to sign in:

You do not have to have an account with any of these services to comment on the blog.

To comment without signing into an account:
Choose the Name/URL option in the drop down menu. The following window will appear.

Enter your name in the "Name" field. In the URL field, you may wish to enter the name of your personal website or blog. Othewise, you can leave it blank and click continue. Your comment will then be posted.

To comment with an existing account:

If you already have an account with any of these services (Google's Gmail, AOL Instant Messenger, etc.) you may wish you use your login information for that service to comment on the blog.

If you don't have an account with one of these services already, you may wish to sign up for a Google account. Select that option and it will guide you through the process of signing up for one (they're free).
